Belfast Metropolitan College is Northern Ireland's largest further and higher education college and is one of the biggest in the UK, with almost 40,000 students. The College is long established and in 2006 we celebrated 100 years of providing further education. We offer students the opportunity to select from over 1200 full-time and part time courses in a wide range of disciplines. The College provides a full range of adult education courses in its buildings across the city, including over 120 out centres. Currently we have students from all over the world who speak in the region of 45 languages.

Location and Facilities
Our main campuses are located in the city centre, close to excellent restaurants and bars, trendy shops, cinemas, theatres and historical monuments. Each building is equipped with a wide range of facilities including dining, library and computer facilities. Being located within the city centre means we are in close proximity to Queens University, where more than 90 countries are represented in the student community and a high proportion of its academic staff are from outside Northern Ireland. Queen's 100,000 graduates are making their mark all over the world in fields as diverse as physics, surgery, civil engineering, agriculture, archaeology and music.

As a part of your experience you may be able to take part in an industrial placement or internship during or after your programme on our Collaborate programme. Through our employability programmes, we can offer you the opportunity to improve your interpersonal and business skills.
The Collaborate team connects with most sectors of business and industry across the region. Any work you undertake will be project based and graduate level, the results of which will contribute to the company's particular business needs.
