The Irish News Awards 2015

Belfast Met has achieved a highly commended certification at the Irish News Work and Employment Awards for their partnership with the Deloitte Data Analytics Training Academy ‘DATA’. The awards, now in its ninth year were held at Titanic Belfast and hosted by BBC broadcaster Karen Patterson to recognise top-performing companies and organisations across every sector of the field of employment.

College Scoops IAB Gold Centre Award

The College has won the IAB Gold Centre 2015 award and has been invited to attend a specially arranged reception and presentation taking place on Thursday 10th December 2015 at The House of Commons London. The Gold Centre Award is a highly coveted award and is based on the length of accreditation, number of registrations and the success rates achieved by examination.

 

The Award inspires and recognises excellence to celebrate and champion the critically important contributions that bookkeepers, payroll professionals, accountants, apprentices and enterprise mentors make to the success of millions of micro and small businesses.

 

Congratulations goes to the Computerised Accounting and Payroll team in School of Business and Management whose dedication and expertise have produced these award winning results across both part time and full cost cohorts of students.

 

 

Foundry Student Strike Off a Good Impression at ASU Awards

 

Belfast Met Foundry student Phil Goss who is 81 years of age has just received a prestigious award by The Arts Society of Ulster. Phil’s bronze sculpture manufactured in the Foundry entitled “High Tea in New York City” was on display at the recent ASU Art Exhibition held in Merville House, Newtownabbey. Phil was awarded the ASU Perpetual Trophy, Best Members’ work in Show.
