Think Social

Too often for us, social media has been an afterthought, but for 2015 let’s try to make social media a part of everyday planning conversations.

We know from studying our analytics that Facebook drives the vast majority of our traffic, so it’s important that we continue our efforts to get more fans for our Facebook page. Our Facebook page has a highly respectable 9,119 fans, but when you consider the number of enrolments each year it is clear there are opportunities being missed. Therefore we need your help to make a concerted effort to get new people in the Belfast Met community to connect with us via social media whether it be students or fellow colleagues.

Content is all important and leads to genuine engagement. We need your help to provide us with informative, relevant, memorable and engaging content about what is happening in your area with your students and colleagues.

Throughout March the Marketing team will go out to each school to chat about ways you can generate more engaging content and discuss our new staff Social Media Protocols.

In the meantime, if you have any questions about our 'Think Social' campaign or any content you would like uploaded to our Facebook site, please contact Melissa Cleary at mcleary@belfastmet.ac.uk
