Title: Understanding the Revised Curriculum in Primary Schools
 
 
Level: OCN Level 1 and Level 2
 
Entry Requirements: No entry requirements.
Attendance: Thursday evening 7pm - 9pm.
 
Structure and Content:

Courses will be delivered by trained staff using specifically designed course booklets.  Course sessions will last 2 hours and will combine a range of theory and practice in the chosen subject.

The course covers:

  • Why the Revised Curriculum was introduced
  • How primary schools deliver this new approach in the vital areas of literacy, numeracy, science, behaviour and play.
  • What parent and carers can do to support children's learning at home.
 
Assessment: OCN NI accreditation via portfolio.

Progression towards NVQ in Childcare and employment opportunities in nursery and classroom assistant roles.
