The Healthy Lifestyle Course includes introduction to health, and information and advice regarding: healthy eating, physical activity, stress, relaxation, smoking cessation, coronary heart disease, diabetes and weight management.

Entry Requirements:
No entry requirements.
Attendance:
12 weeks at 2 hours per week.
Structure and Content:
Courses will be delivered by trained staff using specifically designed course booklets. Course sessions will last 2 hours and will combine a range of theory and practice in the chosen subject.
Courses include:
Read to Succeed;
Parents as Co educators;
Positive Parenting;
Health and Well-Being;
Story Sacks.
Courses are offered at a time and location which suits participants.
Assessment:
OCN-Ni accreditation via portfolio.
Employment Further study:
Progression towards NVQ in Childcare and employment opportunities in nursery and classroom assistant roles.
Family Learning is a generic term which covers a range of over eight courses which have been designed to provide opportunities for parents and others to support their child’s learning.
