The Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Beauty Therapy is a vocationally related qualification that is focused on advanced beauty practices, involving advanced practical techniques and providing the underpinning theory of chemistry, physiology, principles of dermatology and microbiology.

This qualification also covers elements of beauty salon management, the principles and practice of research, public relations and marketing.

Examples of modules that you may study on this programme are:
• management of health, safety and security in the salon
• chemistry of hair and beauty products
• physiology of aging
• quality management of client care in the hair and beauty sector
• dermatology and microbiology
• apply micro dermabraision
• laser and light treatments for hair removal and skin rejuvenation
• salon management

This exciting Level 4 qualification provides students a sound opportunity to develop the essential knowledge and understanding of the underpinning theoretical and practical application of Advanced Beauty Therapy. The course also allows you to enhance your ability to communicate effectively and confidently whilst applying newly acquired knowledge and understanding of the science behind advanced practical skills, managerial approach and research practice.

Entry Requirements

You must be at least 16 years of age. All applicants must attend a pre-entry advice and guidance session.

Applicants should have completed a full industry related Level 3 Qualification and you will require good verbal and written communication skills.
