Northern Ireland has grabbed world headlines as an important film location for Game of Thrones.
Some of the most spectacular indoor sets in the history of television have been built for the show inside the 'Paint Hall' in Belfast, the largest studio space in the world. Alongside this, local costume makers have been hard at work creating amazing garments and accessories for many of the characters now famous throughout the world.
The scope for costume making is much wider than one production with numerous TV, film, theatre and festival productions occurring on an ongoing basis.
The HNC Performing Arts (Costume) Production offers opportunities to gain skills to be a Costume Maker based in the facilities of Belfast Metropolitan College which are ideally situated right across the road from the Paint Hall studio space.
