This highly valued qualification will provide you with the skills and knowledge to work in the fitness industry as a fitness instructor.  With this qualification, you will be able to work in any gym as a fitness instructor with the general duties of:

Demonstrating the correct way to use exercise equipment
Delivering exercise classes and workshops
Developing personal exercise and diet plans
Monitoring the misuse of equipment and ensure the gym is clean and free of health and safety hazards

The course is internationally recognised and gives entry onto the Register of Exercise Professionals at Level 2.  This is an entry level qualification for the health and fitness industry and therefore has no academic entry requirements.

Learners should be aged 16+ and ideally some experience of gym-based exercises including free weights.  Learners should be fit enough to cope with the physical exertion and individual participation involved in the course.  There is an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) involved and learners should have basic skills in communication at Level 2. 

Additional Information: Students who successfully complete this qualification may progress onto the Active IQ Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training or work in the industry as a fitness instructor.
