ICT Apprenticeship - Applications open 18th August

An exciting ICT Apprenticeship programme has been developed to provide young people with the skills and experience required to take up opportunities in the ICT sector.

The programme has been inspired and designed by a number of Northern Ireland’s top ICT companies, in partnership with the Department for the Economy, in support of this important and growing sector.

The Apprenticeship will commence in November 2017, applications close 8th September.

The Apprenticeship

Successful applicants will be employed in one of the participating companies and receive “on-the job” training from Belfast Met.
Apprentices will be employed in various infrastructure or software development roles with the firms investing in their training to enable them to gain Level 3 qualifications and beyond.

Experience is not required but applicants must possess

• a minimum of 5 GCSEs of Grade C or above, including English and Mathematics, and
• a pass at A Level in any subject area OR an equivalent qualification in any discipline.

Applications must be completed by 5pm on 8th September. The selection process will involve aptitude testing and interviews at the college during the week commencing 18th September. The apprenticeship programme will commence in November.

Apply Now

Applications are welcome from those who meet the criteria irrespective of religious belief, political opinion, age, sexual orientation, disability, race, marital status, gender and whether or not they have dependants. However, as women are currently under-represented in the ICT workforce, we would particularly welcome applications from women. All appointments will be made on merit.
