I am really pleased that you are considering joining us at Belfast Metropolitan College.
We are the largest further and higher education College in Northern Ireland and by far the biggest educational institution in Belfast.
We are at the forefront of developing our course provision so that it meets today’s skills needs and anticipate those of the future.
This in turn, should you decide to join us, will enable you to gain employment, develop yourself professionally or improve your chances of gaining access to higher education.
This year is also an exciting time for us as we shall be opening our fantastic, state-of-the-art building located in the Titanic Quarter area of the city. Depending on your course of study or training programme, you may be located at this fabulous building and you are sure to be impressed with all its facilities. We are also excited about our new £15m economic development project which has been designed to promote employability, entrepreneurship and enterprise (e3) and is due to open its doors in Spring 2012.
Our College mission is to become a ‘centre of learning of excellence’, committed to transforming lives and contributing to the economic well being of Belfast and Northern Ireland. In going forward the Belfast Metropolitan College will focus strongly on three core directions:

These new definitions have set the benchmarks for our journey to excellence and will guide our practice as we move forward. All of the achievements, a selection of which are highlighted in this website and our Annual Review, could not of course be possible without the huge contribution made by our learners, staff, governors, customers and partners as they continue to support the College in its mission, values and strategic directions.
